Due to the devastating floods and unprecedented weather in the Western Cape over the last 5 days – on top of the continued rainfall throughout the month of September during our key site build period, the Daisies executive team – in agreement with our title sponsor, Johnnie Walker – have made the difficult decision to postpone #JWxRTD across both cities. This decision has been made after extensive correspondence with Safety teams, Suppliers, Stakeholders, and city officials off the back of official statements made by the Western Cape Government regarding the disaster – taking into consideration the damage to infrastructure, as well as current and forecasted risks to all role-players, most importantly you – our valued festival goers.
#JWxRTD will now officially take place from 17 – 19 November, 2023, with the confirmation of most key headliners, including Stormzy, The Vamps, J.I.D, Denzel Curry and more, still set to perform on the revised dates, with comms underway with all teams who are trying their utmost best to make this work.
Our team would like to thank our incredible title partner – Johnnie Walker, alongside our headline partners, Heineken, Maybelline, and Savanna – and the many stakeholders behind Africa’s biggest music & lifestyle festival for their continued support, and guidance, during this unpredictable time for our festivals.
At this time, our hearts go out to all those affected by the weather disaster that has hit the Western Cape – in support, Rocking the Daisies and Johnnie Walker will be donating to the Gift of the Givers Flood Relief Fund with a percentage of all tickets retained by festival-goers, as we sympathise with those more severely affected than us. Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we navigate this period alongside our extended Daisies family. Ticket holders would have already received formal communication,

POSTPONEMENT FAQ’S:
Will the line-up change?
As it stands our festival headliners including Stormzy, J.I.D, the Vamps, Denzel Curry, Westside Boogie, Greentea Peng and more have moved Heaven and Earth to be with us on our new dates. We’re currently working alongside all artist teams across the board in order to ensure that the 2023 announced line-up remains as unchanged as possible.
What are the new dates?
Our new dates are 17 – 19 November 2023 for #JWxRTD Cape Town, and November 19th 2023 for #JWxRTD Johannesburg.
Is #JWxRTD Johannesburg postponed as well?
Yes, Rocking the Daisies in its entirety has been rolled over to our new dates – including #JWxRTD Johannesburg.
WHY IS THE JOZI SHOW CANCELLED IF ONLY THE CAPE TOWN SITE IS AFFECTED?
Our international artists make the trip to SA on the basis of two shows, both contractually and financially – we also view the shows as ‘one weekend’ for our team, cross-connected suppliers and overall logistics of the event. So, delaying one and not the other is not a viable option – not only for the overall running’s of the festival, but also as an ask for artist teams who would then need to make the big trip twice on already full calendars with multiple moving parts in extended teams.
Are my Quickets still valid for the new date?
All #JWxRTD festival, combo and Daisyland tickets currently purchased will be automatically rolled over to the new dates – and all ticket holders would have formally received these comms. We will open up a refund window via Quicket from the 3rd – 6th October – after such time, rolled over tickets will remain in place. Our team will also be donating a percentage to Gift of the Givers of all tickets retained by you, our festival-goers, when the refund window closes.
Please contact support@quicket.co.za for any Ticketing queries.
Why is the festival postponed?
Safety is at the epicentre of our decision-making for this postponement. In consultation with various role-players, this is the best decision for festival goers, artists, suppliers and all those involved.
Are all sponsors and partners the same?
Yes, our amazing partner family are committed to supporting us beyond the initial festival dates. We appreciate our besties for having our back during this difficult time and still being our ride-or-dies, no matter the date or time.
Besties, are your on-site team okay?
We’ve made sure all of our team members are as safe as possible, taking all measures to make sure everyone’s wellbeing has been considered. They are okay due to quick decision making, thank you besties.
