Bring your sun hat, your shades and, most importantly, your most dazzling smile and fashion A-game for those selfies – and get ready to put your best foot forward as the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival Powered by LottoStar parties its way into the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on 23 and 24 September 2023.
“We’re gearing up for an epic 10th anniversary edition, with enhanced security and traffic management, reduced capacity, free water stations, a larger variety of artisanal food and product traders, an easier payment system and more bar frontage than ever before,” says Funeka Peppeta, Media Director, DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival.
“We’re pulling out all the stops to ensure an awesome festival experience for everyone – it’s all systems go for the Heritage Day weekend!”
Here’s our essential guide to this year’s landmark 10th festival – everything you need to know to make sure it’s an experience to live on in the memory banks, the social media feeds and the history books!
    What to bring
Bring sunscreen, a hat, a camping chair and/or a picnic blanket. Small hand-held umbrellas are permitted. And, of course, wear comfortable shoes because you’re going to be partying like a pro all day long!

    What to leave at home

Please don’t bring your own cooler boxes, picnic baskets, food or beverages. Remember, DStv Delicious is a foodie festival and you are here to sample the flavours of the world! You’ll be spoilt for choice with more food vendors and more bar frontage than ever.

Also note that no beach or golf umbrellas or pillows will be permitted in the grounds and the drinking of alcohol in the parking areas is strictly forbidden. There is also a no pass-out policy in place. Please find the festival rules here.

    Money

The festival is once again a cashless zone, vendors will accept all major bank cards.

    Water

Unlimited free water will be available at the festival’s new hydration stations, or for purchase at the beverage stands.

    How to get there

Parking is limited (see below), so we recommend using the Gautrain and/or a ride-hailing service such as Uber or Bolt to get to the event. There will be a dedicated ride-hailing drop-off and pick-up zone for festival-goers, to avoid traffic congestion.

    Parking

Parking at the festival will cost R400 at the venue, but if you pre-purchase a parking ticket online, it will only cost you R100. Remember, first come, first served!

    Security

In order to ensure safe access to the festival, all patrons are required to download the Ticketmaster app, which provides world-class security around all ticketing aspects of the festival. There will be security at the main entrance to Kyalami, and throughout the precinct, during the festival. Additional security has been arranged to ensure your safety (and a stress-free festival experience) over the two days.

    Gate times

On Saturday 23 September 2023, gates open at 10am and the show ends at 9.30pm. On Sunday 24 September 2023, gates open at 10am and the show ends at 8.30pm. Get there early to secure the best spot!
