The events landscape has vastly changed as the South African market has immensely grown into a slightly different event experience dynamic such as intimate listening sessions, community oriented event properties and many more. YFM hosted their infamous ‘LYFE’ event last year with a star studded line-up featuring the likes of Nasty C, Focalistic, DBN Gogo, Musa Keys and many more at the Carnival City Lawns.
They then returned with a stellar experience this year at Constitution Hill with a line up featuring the likes of Kelvin Momo, Babalwa M, A-Reece, Blxckie, Shane Eagle, Morda, Goldmax, Mawhoo and many more. This was an to not miss as many artists also got an opportunity to perform at the large event on the Carnival stage allowing them to make their LYFE debut such as, Ben September, Belo Salo, Money Badoo, Loatinover Pounds and many more. One could feel the support for the culture as they had a variety of activations for attendees to engage with from the gaming area to the carnival ride and Vuse pop-up for all the smokers as well as optional and affordable food stalls. We truly enjoyed this year’s Lyfe event as the security was on point alongside drinks and food ordering system.
You definitely had to be there in order to understand what I am describing as YFM really put their foot down with the event when it came to the line-up selection. It was a great place for promoters to study what is in demand within the events space from a sound or musical standpoint which can really assist you with compiling a line up for your next event. Fans also got to network with many industry experts as they were on the ground making sure that all is good.
