It is always a beautiful thing to witness when artists unite to solely produce a product of relatability whilst enjoying it as it has become more rare in today’s era of musicians where they unite to create art that speaks to the people. Teejay Mokoena returns with a celebratory tune titled ‘Bagcwele’ in which he collaborates with Sixby9ine and Oriiginelle where they all showcase what they are most proud of from their journey.
The song has been long overdue its release as Teejay has been hard at work with the making of the song for the past year mainly to find the right voices to feature on the song as he wanted many to not only relate to the song but as well as celebrate. This follows Teejay’s major achievement in 2020 where he featured on DJ Speedsta‘s ‘Chosen One‘ which he laced a verse and a hyper active and yet catchy hook which has since rubbed off him and his peers. The song has since charted on Radio stations across the country as well as the Apple Music charts which is not everyday where one makes their debut entrance in the industry like that. Oriiginelle then came through with the laid back verse which she infuses with her mother tongue ‘isiSwati’ flow.
The song is a must listen as it will set you into the right mood for the weekend which is a celebratory mood. Congratulations to Teejay and the rest of the team for this anthem and we cannot wait to hear what they have geared up for us this year.
