Tae Africa returns with a brand new single titled ‘iBang’ which features East London uprising rapper by the name of Benjii_SA. This serves as his first offering of the year since the release of his debut album ‘Facets’ in 2022. The project featured the likes of PdotO, DiBi and Hamo under a stellar instrumental production which was highly ear catching and many can expect a live rendition of the released album later in the year.
‘iBang’ is an infusion of the Xhosa culture and new age rap which sees the two collaborators from two different sides of the Eastern Cape unite to showcase their various slang and language differences. The single is a party anthem dedicated to all the hustlers and hard workers of the world that simply want to loosen up and have some fun.
“iBang ishushu” is a Xhosa phrase which loosely translates to “The party is on fire!”. The pre-hook of the song “Ngca imali (mojo kanjani). Sithi shwiii Milan (mojo kanjani).” Is highly important when trying to understand the context of the song as it speaks to what would happen should Tae Africa and Benjii_SA receive the riches they long for.
‘iBang’ serves as the lead single to Tae Africa’s forthcoming project which is to be expected for release later in the year.
