South Africa’s foremost music and lifestyle festival Rocking the Daisies / #JWxRTD has teamed up with Platoon, the artist services company at the forefront of driving African music and culture within the continent, to the world. Platoon joins Rocking the Daisies as the official sunset lineup curation partner for the Cape Town leg of the annual event.

Ranked #34 on Billboard’s 50 Best Festivals Of 2022, Rocking the Daisies is South Africa’s biggest annual festival, attracting thousands of music lovers from across the globe with a diverse, multi-genre lineup starring Stormzy, Ayra Starr, J.I.D, Denzel Curry, The Vamps, and more in 2023, the event also hosts a range of activations and lifestyle offerings across food, fashion, art, technology and wellness.

Platoon is home to West African superstar Ayra Starr (also set to perform at this year’s Rocking the Daisies), Saint Harrison, Bayanni, Msaki, Aymos and more, and has nurtured the early careers of artists such as Billie Eilish, Jorja Smith, Victoria Monet and Adekunle Gold, to count a few. Platoon now becomes the official sunset curation partner of South Africa’s leading music festival, where Platoon artists will play across all of the stages at Daisies on 6 and 7 October during Golden Hour.

Platoon has partnered with Daisies as the official sunset curator with the goal of shining a golden light on their soulful and diverse South African roster which will see a Platoon artist appear on all stages of the festival during the magical hours of sunset.

Joining the Rocking the Daisies lineup for Platoon Golden Hour in a first-of-its-kind collaboration are award winning artists Samthing Soweto, Sun-El Musician, Da Capo, Bongeziwe Mabandla, Flvme, Hanna, DJ Lag, DJ Kenza, Mpho.WAV, Anais Cardot and Kay Faith, for what promises to be the most memorable transition from day to night during festival weekend.

I love what I do on a daily basis as I get to help out fellow African creatives spread out their work to the world. I am a diverse individual as I do not limit myself to one group or type of content. I am always open to receiving new work from other individuals as that is my way of maintaining the culture in quality form.
