Ranked #34 on Billboard’s 50 Best Festivals Of 2022, as well as #1 by Yomzansi in South Africa, Rocking the Daisies is the territories biggest annual festival – attracting thousands of music lovers from across the globe with a diverse, multi-genre line-up for 2023 starring Stormzy, Ayra Starr, J.I.D, Denzel Curry, The Vamps, and more. The event also hosts a range of activations and lifestyle offerings across food, fashion, art, technology and wellness – alongside the festivals diverse portfolio of brand partners. Platoon, the artist services company known for driving African music and culture to the world joins Rocking the Daisies as the Official Sunset Curation Partner for the Cape Town event.

This partnership will see Platoon artists play across all the stages at Daisies on 6 and 7 October during Golden Hour, in a first of its kind partnership. Platoon is home to West African superstar Ayra Starr and she will be joining the Rocking the Daisies line-up alongside artists such as Samthing Soweto, Sun-El Musician, Da Capo, Bongeziwe Mabandla, Flvme, Hanna, DJ Lag, DJ Kenza, Mpho.WAV, Anais Cardot and Kay Faith, for what promises to be the most memorable transition from day to night during festival weekend.

Joining the JWxRTD family is second-year partner, Bridges for Music as Official Empowerment Partner. The non-profit organisation empowers individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds through programmes focused on creative entrepreneurship, well-being and music by providing safe, inspiring and technologically prepared schools and holistic programmes centred around music, creativity, well-being and work readiness to help these individuals become creative change-makers. The artists that will be representing Bridges for music on the Rocking the Daisies stage are DJ Shuffles, Aux Wondantso, Fundi, Yamz, Jezz the DJ, Mendo and NOT A SHE. Not only will we be providing a platform for these incredibly talented artists on our stages, but we will also be facilitating a working placement partnership for a handful of BFM students at the event across a range of roles, as our team aim to mentor and provide a safe space for skills development through our brand.

This year’s edition of Rocking the Daisies will be hosted from 6-8 October 2023 at Cloof Wine Estate, Darling and 8 October 2023 at Supersport Park, Johannesburg, and is brought to you by STEYN ENTERTAINMENT and official title sponsor JOHNNIE WALKER.

I love what I do on a daily basis as I get to help out fellow African creatives spread out their work to the world. I am a diverse individual as I do not limit myself to one group or type of content. I am always open to receiving new work from other individuals as that is my way of maintaining the culture in quality form.
