It has been over two months since the release of Rema‘s 5 track EP “RAVAGE” which served as his first project of 2023 since his 2022 album “Rave & Roses”. In the project, you get to feel and understand who Rema is and his gradual growth since 2022. It is a highly expressive project in which Rema adopts a variety of personal stories over experimental Afro-beats instrumental that consist of various instruments allowing for the tone of the project to be soft offering a much more relaxed listening experience.
In the visuals for “DND” you get to embark on a “villainous” storyline in which Rema is on the run from the cops since escaping under custody but the more you watch the visuals the more you understand that all Rema is trying to do is fight for his people to have freedom of expression and essentially freedom as a whole but with that there is a cost and he unfortunately had to succumb the circumstances of that cost. He further touches on political affairs in the visuals which have affected society critically from illicit wars to the misconception towards education.
