‘Where & Where’ is a song recorded by South African producer-songwriter Ivy Leeg featuring Maarly by Falloutboyz Records and SolDistro as the lead single from Ivy’s full length debut mixtape, IVY: The Mixtape. It was written by Ivy with vocal performance from Neo-soul singer Maarly. A Hip Hop and Soul infused song, it features teachings of the importance of a person’s name in its lyrics. It will be accompanied by a visualizer set to premiere April 24th. The song was produced by Falloutboyz very own in-house producer DnA.
In retrospective review, DnA said, “While everyone else is trying to mimic 25K and Thato Saul, Pretorian born Ivy is going one step further. His taking the neo soul concept from Erykah Badu’s “On & On” and expanding it with his own new ideas. With the aid of vocalist Maarly, he infuses elements of neo soul culture with a touch of his Hip Hop essence. The result is a refreshing and adventurous single that could easily lure hard-core hip hop kids and as well as their parents. This bodies extremely well what is to be expected for the forthcoming mixtape ‘IVY’.
