Interview: Cindii Masina Speaks On Latest EP, ‘Bed Project: GarageBand Compilation’, Inspirations And More

Cindii Masina is back with a brand new EP titled,’Bed Project: GarageBand Compilation’. This is her first release of the year as it follows her last single titled, ‘Lowkey (unmastered).

She first made her debut into the music scene last year with her first ever single pack titled, ‘Love Fictioned’. Cindii has since grown into the music space with singles with the likes of Yolophonik and Elizee.

Cindii M has made her return this year with a symphonic EP consisting of music from her GarageBand archives. Each single tells it’s own story as she infuses the sounds of classical Rnb and Hip-Hop. She further showcases her taste in music as this is heard in her Sade sample of ‘No ordinary love’.

It is a must listen to as you will be taken afar into her mysterious love journey. Below is an interview we did with her earlier this week through Instagram as we sent her questions about the tape.

What lead to the release of the project?

“Nothing intentional led me to releasing this project actually, it was meant to be on GarageBand only because I don’t want to hold onto songs that may potentially change my life.“

What inspired the title of the tape?

“I think because all the songs were made in my room, It was kind of automatic for it to be named bed project.”

    When were the singles recorded?

“Most of them were recorded and left off unfinished from 2021.”

How did ‘B4 I Turn 25’ come about?

“Interesting story actually. I put up a challenge on instagram for my supporters and fellow artists. I requested that a verse in the song is an automatic entry. So I listened to everyone’s verses on Instagram live and discovered trippy bastion. I fell In love with the song even way more.”

Prior to this release, Can we expect new music anytime soon or visuals?

“Yes I’m definitely onto something new. Especially the visual aspect of it.”

I love what I do on a daily basis as I get to help out fellow African creatives spread out their work to the world. I am a diverse individual as I do not limit myself to one group or type of content. I am always open to receiving new work from other individuals as that is my way of maintaining the culture in quality form.
