Gemma Fassie is a name to remember as she has been very much hard work since her debut into the RnB scene in 2020. She has worked with a variety of acts in course of the years from Champuru Makhenzo to Hersh and Nipho Mkhize.
Last year was also a year where we saw her grow further as she not only released symphonic covers but also went on to trending on Twitter because of Bongani Fassie reposting her work on his page. She then went on to releasing her single titled, ‘No Drama’ of which is an infusion of 90s Pop and Modern RnB and more covers.
Gemma Fassie has now returned with a brand new cover for hit single, ‘Asibe Happy’ by Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa and Ami Faku. The cover blew me away as her vocals complimented the layered piano instrumental. This evoked emotions of joy and of course tears as how she sings out the lyrics captured my heart. The production will leave you yearning for more. Ally Benaire really went all out with the shoot and the edit.
