Escopia, today announces a partnership with Vevo, the world’s leading music video network. Over the last year, Escopia has been focused on finding key partners that can assist with increasing market value and integrating systems that bring growth potential to their artists. Through a blend of editorial support, programming assistance and more, Escopia artists have the ability to reach wider audiences in various territories around the globe.

Over the past few years, Escopia has seen a rise of independent artists across the South African market. With music videos on YouTube being a large source of discovery and significant tool for these artists, there is a high demand for further resources that will best cater to their growth.

According to recent stats surrounding the Sub-Saharan music market in Africa, South African Music has contributed over 60% of market revenue share in South Africa in the past year. Independent artists need resources and a support system where they can grow and market their art, which is where South African brand and media company Escopia comes in. Escopia caters to a variety of independent artists through their subsidiary business, Escopia Distribution, launched to a select number of artists late last year.

The Escopia team had the following to say, “This is a big deal for us as it isn’t everyday where brands unite for a mutual course such as music. We are excited for the team and our fellow artists as this is also major for them considering the marketing perks that come with it. It is really a powerful tool that will allow us to maintain visual content from our clients with care and confidence as well as protecting their visual content through their system. There isn’t many artists with that access unless you go through major label or a huge distributor that is already a partner so it is a big deal for us. We cannot wait to see what other fellow opportunities that this relationship will allow us to build towards but for now, it’s Africa to the world and we cannot wait to expand the market share for independent artists across Africa through this deal!” – Escopia: )

I love what I do on a daily basis as I get to help out fellow African creatives spread out their work to the world. I am a diverse individual as I do not limit myself to one group or type of content. I am always open to receiving new work from other individuals as that is my way of maintaining the culture in quality form.
