Following his 2023 EP “OnThisHill” is Archi as he gradually started off his year with a brand new single with ZRi and Steveisfrench titled “Donno Why”. The stellar combination of the 3 acts continuously expands the rap sound within the Pretoria music scene. “Donno Why” is an easy to listen rap track which transitions from a mellow vintage sample to a more modern bop and trappy rap sound. The single is accompanied with a highly catchy hook which details the easy life in one’s modern ways of living as Archi opens up on the progress of life and his career with rhyming lines within his verse without losing the flow of the hook.
ZRi then follows with an appreciation to God and his way of maintaining positivity within his life from a more structured approach to life to an adventurous and bliss state of mind that is free from heavy, discouraging thoughts. This allows the song to serve as a letter of motivation to those that may be experiencing the tough end of life as he encourages one to chase after knowledge as well as their dreams as those align with the road to self-growth. The Pretoria music scene is clearly in the right hands as many creatives continue to pave their own way and own sounds whilst maintaining a rigid identity for themselves. Highly excited to see what the three talented acts plan on doing this year as they carry their support from Global Distribution company “Paradise” through their indie label, “Paradise Sound System” with joy and happiness.
