South Africa has bred a sound that many individuals across the globe love and have become fond of as it is through the genre where we have been able to witness a global breakthrough of plenty acts such as DJ Maphorisa; Uncle Waffles; Tyler ICU; Focalistic; Kabza De Small; Musa Keys; Young Stunna; Boohle; Soa Mattrix; Felo Le Tee; DBN Gogo and many more. Many acts across the globe have tried curating an Amapiano version of their highest performing tracks but not many have mastered how to best formulate it in order to have an Amapiano hit. This has forced many of those acts to travel down to the source of the sound, South Africa in which they identify their primary act that they would like to collaborate with in order to achieve that particular sound and hit that they are looking for in which some achieve it.
We have since experienced a rise in Ampiano producers in South Africa who have expanded the sound to a wider audience through sub-genres and right vocalists. Chanté is a lover for music and dancing so these two go hand in hand as she remixed her RnB single “Ready” to an Amapiano beat in collaboration with Maneli. The two worked heavily on the track as Chanté wanted to give her fans a dance anthem for this festive season. As you listen to the track you will be led by South African sounds from chants to the whistles in the background and heavy log-drum accompanied by high pitched vocals. You will enjoy every moment of the song as it has a mellow feel to it whilst embracing the mood of celebration. The single has since landed Chanté on the “New Music Daily” playlist.
