    The Basketball Africa League (BAL) today announced the lineup of artists and entertainers who
    will headline halftime performances when the 2025 BAL Playoffs get underway at SunBet Arena in Pretoria from Friday, 6 June – Saturday, 14 June. Award-winning music artist Cassper Nyovest will headline the opening night when he takes the stage during a seeding game between Al Ahli Tripoli (Libya), led by former NBA player Jaylen Adams, and Al Ittihad (Egypt), led by former NBA player George King, on Friday, 6 June at 7:00 p.m.

    Other halftime performers will include some of South Africa’s top music artists, such as Ch’cco, Aymos, Zee Nxumalo & TBO, Robot Boii, Blxckie, Bassie, Maglera Doe Boy, and Focalistic. The 2025 BAL Playoffs and Finals tickets are available on Ticketmaster.co.za.

    Saturday, 14 June Maglera Doe Boy and the Unit Acrobats – BAL Finals (Closing
    Ceremony; 4:00 p.m.)

    Focalistic – BAL Finals (Halftime; 4:00 p.m.)

    In addition, the BAL Fan Zone at SunBet Arena will offer a vibrant and engaging experience for
    all attendees with a variety of lifestyle and entertainment options, including official BAL
    merchandise, food and beverage stands, DJ performances, and more.

    The BAL, a collaboration between the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and NBA
    Africa is a professional league featuring 12 club teams from across Africa that tipped off its
    milestone fifth season in April 2025.

    Following the conference group phase held in Morocco (Kalahari Conference, 5-13 April), Senegal (Sahara Conference, 26 April – 4 May) and Rwanda (Nile Conference, 17-25 May), The top eight teams advanced to the BAL Playoffs and Finals at SunBet Arena in Pretoria: Al Ittihad (Egypt), Rivers Hoopers (Nigeria), FUS Rabat (Morocco), US Monastir (Tunisia), Petro de Luanda (Angola), Kriol Star (Cape Verde), Al Ahli Tripoli (Libya) and APR (Rwanda).
