It has been two years since Blxckie released his debut album ‘B4NOW’ which went on to charting across all streaming platforms and reaching Gold status. The album was nominated for several awards and was celebrated with a 10 date tour across the country and outside. The 12 Track album features hit singles such as the new birthday anthem, ‘Sika‘, ‘Ye x4 with Nasty C‘, ‘Big Time Shlappa with LucasRaps‘, ‘Hold‘, ‘Uppity‘, ‘David‘, ‘Stripes with Flvme‘ and many more.
This album has since opened up humongous doors for Blxckie as he collaborated with Sportscene for his own Redbat range of clothes including him launching his single ‘Khuphuka‘ at their flagship store in Sandton. Through this album, we have witnessed the immense growth that artistic work can bring if many can resonate to it and Blxckie keeps showing us his versatility and ability to play around with sounds through his collaborations and his own music. This of course understandably so was expressed through the deluxe version of the album as he added an additional 8 tracks for his fans to indulge on.
We as fellow South Africans including myself can indeed say that ‘B4NOW’ has to be an adventurous album as it never dates if anything it adapts with time as it becomes a timeless project to our ears and we are highly excited to hear what his 2nd Studio album will be sounding like as he has continuously fed us amazing work from his ‘4LUV‘ EP to ‘THE4MULA‘. As we celebrate the 2nd year since the making of ‘B4NOW’, let us celebrate it in style.
