Known as ‘The coolest kid in Africa’ to the eyes of many is Nasty C as he has been locked in studio working on his 4th studio album “I Love It Here” which is set to release in 9 days. Nasty C took to his socials to announce the 3rd single on the album “Prosper In Peace” with American rapper, Benny The Butcher. This of course revealed the official art work to the album as well as the track-list for many to digest whilst waiting for the project to release.

The song “Prosper In Peace” is a gem as it touches on Nasty C’s experience with haters and he expresses his hurt and how it affects him even though at times he overlooks it. This is to simply show that he is human and that he has emotions as well as the fact that he will continue working hard to grow and prosper more and more for his family and loved ones. To some it may come to discourage as negative words will always have an impact towards one’s mental health but learn to understand that social media is just another world of it’s own so be more present in your reality and live to be happy at full fulfilment. He further expresses the importance of prayer and remaining grounded as well as surrounding yourself with like minded people that speak nothing but positivity into the world.
Benny The Butcher then touches on his purpose in life and why he continues to pursue for his dreams as we all have it in ourselves to be the greatest versions of ourselves by the day. All we really need to do is understand who we really are and focus on nurturing that part of ourselves through ignoring the outside noise. It will always be there regardless.
“Prosper In Peace” is an ode to the world on why we should not let hatred get in the way of us pursuing our dreams. People will always have something to say about your craft but you need to always focus on the bigger picture in life which fully lies internally. This is an amazing song and has me totally excited for the album release in 9 days. As Nasty C continues to tour the continent alongside Cassper Nyovest through their joint tour “African Throne”, let us indulge to the art he has gifted us for the day to guide our minds to a more positive sight by pre-saving the album on Apple Music, here.
